The current project involves acquiring a 1.5-acre property on the south shore of Buffalo Bayou near the Port of Houston and converting it to a public park. The site is located between two other parks along the bayou: Hidalgo Park and Buffalo Bend Nature Park. Once this project is completed, the three parks will be linked and integrated into a larger network of parks and trails. The park will enhance community and public access to the bayou's frontage and improve flood management along the important waterway.
