A specific outcome of this partnership was the 1st annual 100-Mile Wilderness Challenge sled dog race, which attracted 12 sleds from the US and Canada and has the potential for significant growth. This new winter recreational event was made possible through the cooperation of the AMC, which helped construct a trail across its property, allowing the race to run from Greenville to Brownville and back. The towns are anticipating that this event will become a hallmark of their winter recreational attractions.
